Another picture of Haleem the old Hamdani stallion in Saudi Arabia

Another picture of the masculine Hamdani stallion Haleem, a senior stallion at the Stud of Prince Turki ibn Fahd ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman Aal Saud at Zurayq, near al-Kharj in Saudi Arabia. Prince Turki’s grandfather Muhammad is the brother of King Abd al-Aziz, the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You’ve already seen a video of Haleem here.

  1. The information being presented about strains and the Sa’ud horses are just fascinating, and are making my brain stretch!

    Thank you!

  2. This is the son of al-Jallabi al-Marshoosh al-Thani (Second speckled Jallabi) and of Hamdaniyat Fatis the Master of Horses in Bahrain..

  3. How wonderful to be able to see these horses, and even better to bring home a colt!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, Edie…

  4. What a magnificent horse! I have already seen his video and I have fallen in love with him! I have a hamdani mare too. I would like a stallion for her like this. I have seen also videos of another beautiful hamdani stallion from your breeding. Haw is it possible to contact you for discussing terms of covering? Can you sheep frozen horse semen in Europe (I am from Italy)? May be you have the sperm bank of these precious horses. Please, give me an answer.

  5. Oh Dear! I never responded to the question about semen. Yes, it is possible, but an insane amount of effort and red tape. Then if your vet is not strictly up to date on handling the Arabian semen, it is all for naught, plus frozen semen does not have near the level of conception as cooled or natural.

I DID get to see Haleem at Al Kharj in 2009 when we visited the Kingdom. Truly a great Hamdani stallion. I have a picture of him in the background of my latest bank checks.
