  1. He is in my top 10 best stallions.

Would like to see top 10 stallions list as the one posted for the mares.

  2. I really like the look of this horse… any more photos??
I particularly like his coupling, quarters and well let down hocks ( though he is cut off at the cannon so may be deceptive!), a phrase Jean always refers to as a Lady Blunt term but it is one I was brought up with and is one of my favourite features in a good horse!!
What did this stallion do under saddle?

  3. Edouard gets to answer the question on the book, but in all honesty, it is taking longer than we expected. Doesn’t everything?

I’ll look for some more photos of Ibn Alamein. He was not a particularly pretty youngster, but he was a major influence in Davenport breeding from 1975 on.

  4. The muscling in his thigh goes substantially below his gaskin. Good, Good,Good! Seeing him posed from behind reminds me of the early CMK high percentage Davenports and some of the MSU horses. They of course had Hamrah close up and for reference purposes theres’ the My Quest photo of Hamrah as a two year old with the best young-horse hindquarters you could imagine. What an improver he would be for some- thats some of the horses one sees these days.
    Best wishes,
PS thanks for the inspirational photo
