My kind of head on an Arabian horse

I have been saying it over and over, but the Kuhaylah Hayfiyah mare FinDeSiecle CF, with Jeannie Lieb, has one of the most beautiful heads I have seen on an Arabian horse. It’s perfection, in my opinion. The eyelashes, the muzzle, the deep jaws, the proportion. A case study.

  1. I would actually pick Monologue after having seen his new colt. A Monologue cross would produce one of the nicest heads among Davenports. He will bring a broad forehead, reinforce the small muzzle and the depth of jowls, and add that huge eye and the short pricked ears. He can also level the croup and lengthen it. She already has an arched neck so Monologue can reinforce that.

  2. I believe breeding Monologue to Fin was a desire of Charles and Jeanne Craver. I can do Monologue much easier than Aurene! I was told Fin lost a colt by Aurene in 2011 at 10mo gestation when she was at Bill and Pamela Klien’s place. I was told it was chestnut with a blaze and 4 white socks. So sad.

Darlene’s Rose Petal Rhapsody (Monologue CF X Divine Little Rose) has Monologue’s head including his eye. At least at her current young age you can sure see the resemblance.

  3. Monologue and Fin sounds good to me. I even think I heard Jamboree give Monologue his blessing when they were stalled side by side here a few years ago.
