So I went to see the horses today, all were beautiful especially Haykal and Barakah. I was riding Wadha, and had just started galloping, but the saddle strap was loose so the saddle slid to the side and I fell on my back, while my foot remained stuck in one of the stirrups. The whole thing hurts.

  1. hope you will recover with rest, the horse was maybe hurt too. we call this kind of thing-just another badge of courage with the life with the our beautiful horses…..

  2. oh! in the future maybe use “kick back stirrups”-when the leather holding stirrup goes back very far it disconnects and releases-stirrup and leather (and you quite quickly). they are /were used in racing. sounds flimsy but works very well and securely. kick back leathers and stirrups is what we called them-but may be known by another name….

  3. I hope you get well soon!!

  4. Aie ! Aie ! Synthol et serviette chaude pour ma part quand ça arrive. Courage et bon rétablissement Edouard 🙁

  7. You’re a lucky man,
if the horse did not take a longer trip….
    I hope you’re okay.

    Best wishes,

  8. Hope you heal quickly and completely!
