Blog reader Francois Julien, from France, sent me a link to a photo album about equine photographer Bob Langrish’s visit to Iran in 2007. The album has nice photos of Iranian bred horses of various breeds, including Arabians (called Asil in Iran), Kurdish, Turkmen and other local breeds of horses. Check it out by clicking here.

Bob Langrish visited the Detweilers’ Mountain Spring Farm and took some photos. We used a lovely one of mares cantering in pasture in the color section of Al Khamsa Arabians III. Excellent photographer.

Amirhosein, could we start sharing photos? I have very nice ones of the European stud Schieferegg that still breeds Iranian-Egyptian horses. We’re looking into buying a very nice black colt (Harb x Bint Palmirah) 50% Iranian and descends from the original Iranian export horses to Austria (1970′s).
