Thank Heaven, daughter of the Bahraini stallion

Cathie Fye recently shared with me this picture of her 2003 Dahmah Shahwaniyah mare Thank Heaven (*Mlolshaan Hager Solomon x Llanys Winddancer x Ru Serr Llany), one of two daughters of the Bahraini stallion Mlolshaan in the USA. She is doing well in endurance, as she should. Look at the gaskin, and the clean hocks. Where do you see this anymore?

I had already decided to breed one of my mares to this stallion before he is done, but seeing this photo confirms my decision. He will be 25 next year.

  1. Edouard: you could also have said giant hocks as well as clean, ample and strong leg bone overall, and exemplary of muscling from her thigh down into the gaskin- But why quibble, she’s a very nice mare! Like the way she’s bred- essentially old eygyptian crossed off the best of the cradle countries top line- if I understand it correctly.

  2. Excellent mare. Aside from old Egyptian, her mother also has South American Ayerza blood and Saudi Turfa blood. Mlolshaan is Bahraini bred but also has the blood of the Saudi stallion Sharid. Time is ticking. Mlolshaan was born in 1986 so he will be 27 years old next Spring.

  3. Thank Heaven just foaled a gorgeous filly by DB Krush. This girl will be seeking a new home as soon as she is weaned. Angel is proving to be an excellent mother!
