A son of Mushahhar in North-East Syria

My friend Muhammad Ma’sum al-Agub recently acquired a promising young Saqlawi Marzakani stallion of Shammar lines. His sire is my black Kuhaylan al-Wati stallion Mushahhar, his dam is a daughter of Zayn al-Khayl. Notice the short back, the long hip, the sloped shoulder, the round barrel, the strong coupling, the long neck, and the (moderately) large, black eye.

  1. Edouard don’t be self critical his eyes are large enough.. I really like his coupling- nice triangle in his hindquarters. Evidently good hoof quality.. He’s barefoot isn’t he? I’ll bet hes a fabulous mover– Good power through his Abs too.

  2. Strong and compact young stallion. I agree with Bruce Peek ” Good power through his Abs too. In my area “la Normandie” good abs (du boyaux) is the is the first criterion after “le degré de sang”

  3. Shoot! Man I can’t get over his hindquarters- what an improver he would be!

  4. In general, when I see a very good son of a stallion with a high degree of blood I prefer used for breeding the father; same thing when I see a very good daughter.
