Chinoiserie CF and Minaret CF
Kirby Drennan and Jeanne Craver shared this beautiful photo of two Craver Farms mares, the 1986 Hamdani Simri Chinoiserie CF (Dharanad x Levant), on the left, who died in the stampede that followed the 1993 Illinois River flood at Craver Farms, and the 1984 Kuhaylah Krush Minaret CF (Heir Apparent x O-Henrietta), on the right.
Unfortunately, the image of Chinoiserie and Minaret is not displaying, at least on my device.
I can’t see the photo either. Chrome browser.
Thank you for fixing whatever made this photo viewable, Edouard. Such beautiful mares. I saw Chinoiserie at Craver Farms at her dam’s side and Minaret as a 2 yr old. Again saw Minaret in California as an adult, she had some success as an endurance horse for a short period.
Where is Minaret now? and is her son Ivanhoe still alive?
Minaret is deceased. I believe Ivanhoe, a gelding, may live with Jocelyn Wall somewhere on the East Coast, USA.
I am not sure he was gelded. He may still be a stallion.
Minaret’s daughter by Mandarin CF, Cataree, 2000 bm, is living, about 20 miles from me. She has never been bred, unfortunately.
I saw a photo together with Polynesia LD and she looked very strongly built.
Cataree is gorgeous! I admired her very much.
I remember seeing the levy break being covered on the news and had no idea what and who was being affected-tragic.
I thought she -the mare on the left- looked so Schilan and there it is-the ears and the head bone structure-the look. I had the chance to see close up progeny of hers-the look is unmistakable.
