Photo of the Day: Audacity, asil Kuhaylah Hayfiyah mare in the USA
Audacity (Lysander x Bint Dharebah by Monsoon) was one of the pretties Kuhaylah Hayfiyah mares of Davenport bloodlines, and the matriarch of a important sub-family of equally beautiful horses, including Audobon, Nuance, Affinity, Piquante, and Pirouette . Bred by Craver Farms.
I just want to point out that Audacity was 21 when this photo was taken, and had eight foals. She was just an all-time favorite here. And a real war mare!
She looks lovely Jeanne.
I saw Audacity at an old age and she was a first class mare. Her alert disposition can’t be captured by a still photo.
Bred by Craver Farms! A standard unequaled outside of the
Desert Bedouin. The life of Charles is the joy of the
owners now of the Davenport – Bradley beginnings. No breeding’s outside the desert has been the constant source for continuation or original as Craver Farm!
Sure other great breeders, but none the same, or gifted so much to what is Asil. The horse of the desert unchanged by breedings and maintained original to Bedouin Standards.
Yes, Jeanne, you and Charles have come far! Thanks is
always in order and the horses are just this, a Bedouin’s
Horse brought into the present! You both are a class act, people and horse’s, well, they, the horse’s, are just what the Bedouin gifted. And now Edouard talks about and explains………….. Perhaps
some day with DNA, what you, Craver Farms have done will
be underlined, with the abilities of your judgments.
Audacity………….. like so many others was a dance unto her self.
Oh well, Your years have been a joy, Thanks!
Yes Jackson, at Craver Farms, successful breeding patterns were developed and followed for approximately 50 years. Many remarkable Arabian horses were bred there, starting with Aramis, Sir, Alaska, and Fairy Queen in the 1950s. Now, with Craver Farms mostly retired from breeding, the full impact of its efforts will no doubt be considerable if only other breeders will not fritter away what has been achieved.

Am sure many of the Bedouins felt the same, as Davenport left the Desert! With their Mares, Foals, Stallions!
Hopefully people such as your self, will be the future, I can not think of better. With the help of Michael and the research, Edouard and his blog, what is, now is.
This blog, nor Al Khamsa, was around in the early years. Look what happened! 50 Years! Of untold thousands! and they are still the horse of the Bedouin Breeding’s.
I am only glad for what is, and like you hopeful for the unknown. Perhaps changes, yes, maybe with them interest will become even greater? I am sure there will always be those who insist on original. And even those who look to the future with the insights you have gifted. Your research and information has added even to Craver Farms. Interest is always the extra gained
from the original.
