Photo of the Day: Enchante CF, Kuhaylah Hayfiyah
The Kuhaylat al-Hayf mare Enchante CF (Zacharia x Velveteen by Sir) was bred at Craver Farms, and then sold to Shirley Jacobsen who then gave her to Pamela Klein.. She is now at Craver Farms, where this photo was taken last week by Nancy Becker. I saw this mare three times, and she never looked as good as in this picture..
Darlene Summers has the only foal of hers, a daughter by Triermain called Elegance, and everyone in the Davenport breeders community agrees that this grand and precious mare should have more foals.
Enchante looks great in this photo. She has a lovely head that she passed on to Elegance.
I’m also pleased to say that Elegance is in foal to Divine Design, a bay Haifi stallion, with a May 2012 delivery anticipated.
Enchante looks wonderful and has come a long way since December, 2010, when Bill and I brought her home. I was hopeful that she was in foal to Aurene CF, but am sure that Charles and Jeanne will manage to settle her in the spring. She is certainly young enough to have many more foals!
Is she still at Craver?
no, she is with Kathy Busch in Kansas City, Missouri.
Actually, Kathy and Enchante now live in northern Alabama, where I am sure they are enjoying the warmer winters.
If only I had more years and more money to fill my life with the ones I find special. I would have at least one from every one of my favorite lines. This mare must be awesome if she descends from Zacharia.
I would love to see pics of her and the photo of zacharia that shows his iridescent metallic white/silver coat. I cant seem to find it. Its either him or his son. Its a cloudy detail right now. It was a color photo so maybe his son?
Well imagine that… I found it!!!!! It was Zacharia CF
I heard some years ago he had passed away?
