Rare pictures of Mayassah
Jeanne Craver gratified me today with two pictures of my own Kuhaylat al-Krush mare Mayassah Al Arab (Clarion CF x Cinnabar Myst by ASF David). Thank you Jeanne! She is now six years old, and a liver chestnut like her sire. Debbie Mackie boards her for me. She looks good and it seems Debbie has been spoiling her.
I like horses built like tanks, and I like Arab horses that look like horses, not dolls. I wish Clarion CF had ten or twenty foals, not two.
She is one of two remaining Al Khamsa mares to carry the blood of the three Al Khamsa foundation horses Kesia I, Kesia II and Mameluke. The other mare is Karin Floyd’s Samirahs Adlayah.
Edouard: I see that she’s also got Sunshine and Gharis in her pedigree as well as Hallany Mistanny . A lot of endurance people rejoice when they can get horses with Sunshine close up since he too was built like a tank.

She is lovely! She is fulfilling the promise of her parents and her pedigree.
I like how she is maturing, just as her pedigree foretold!
She is elegant, and such a lovely colour! Chunky Arabians are also my favourites.
Oh, I’ve wished for more Clarion foals as well–but at least he does have a Davenport son to follow him.
Michael: so you like her? She fits as CMK too.
Surely.
She is quite impressive. What are the plans for her?
I would like to breed her to Pulcher ibn Rechan (Anecdote CF), or to my stallion Jamr, who is of similarly old bloodlines.
