I… confess I am not sure who this is for. 🙁
Wegdan (Dani) Berbary, who left us a couple years ago. She owned and bred the Shams El Asil (SEA) Arabians in Egypt. She never participated in halter shows. She bred Egyptian horses of EAO lines for conformation, style and temperament. She knew Egyptian horses like no other person did.
Thank you! I have admired some of her horses in the past. I didn’t realize the breeder had passed on.
This is sad. Could someone volunteer to write an obituary for the next Khamsat? (One has just been mailed.) We need to remember our trailblazers.
Some of her lines made their way to Ontario Canada..where progeny included Allen Ehrlich’s multi national champion sporthorse and 2014 Canadian WAHO trophy winner Dal Apollo…but sadly there is nothing left breeding on to my knowledge.
