A blog on desert arabian horses, past, present and future

this photo was taken by the late Dr. John Reidlinger who took some of the best photos of Walter Schimanski’s horses. Saafaddan was a spectacular and athletic horse to see in person. He was a very peacocky horse with extraordinary motion, a brilliant mover and quite refined. He was a very serious horse who exuded the essence of a stallion. He was always interested in the mares and the status of his “herd,” a horse of strong instincts. It is unfortunate that he died fairly young compared to his stable mate Lothar. Saafaddan is the paternal grandsire of our old stallion Saamir.
Would you have any books that I could buy with pictures of Walter Schimanski? I know that somewhere there is a picture of Walter Schimanski with Saafaddan. PLEASE let me know if you can find any pictures of him. I would really appreciate it!
Sincerely,
Cynthia Hale
The Babson Influence is your book in that case.
