This is Shaman’s dam SS Lady Guenevere, which I have leased from DeWayne Brown a few years ago, until she produces a filly for me. Click on the low res photos to enlarge them.
I am not sure why, but I am really struck by her neck – I like the general shape of it. Looks like she gave it to her son, possibly also the hind end, looking at the angulation of the hocks.
It’s the crest. You seem to be drawn to naturally crested necks, Godolophin style.
Ahh, yes, I feel called out now!
Crested necks are very pretty, though, and they are lovely to draw as well. They make the horse look like a painting.
Very nice mare. She is around %94 Egyptian blood but she is different.
