Two of Rhoufi’s antecedents
Some 16 years ago, in 2008, I wrote about this beautiful old Kuhaylat al-Ajuz Arabian mare from Tunisia, Hadia, on this blog, .here.
One year after that, in 2009, I wrote about the bay Tunisian stallion Jehol Sahraoui, here. He was from the program of Gisela Bergman in South-West Tunisia. The second photo of Jehol Sahraoui is by Jean-Claude Rajot.
My stallion Rhoufi (Tchad by Jehol Sahraoui x Zaghrouta by Jehol Sahraoui) is a double grandson of Jehol and a double great-grandson of Hadia.
Hadia looks a beautiful mare. Jehol Sahraoui reminds me of a saluki, lean and leggy.
How cool! Jehol Sahraoui also reminds me of the Egyptian stallion El Sareei.
Fingers crossed that Rhoufi will have many offspring!
Fingers crossed to Ilhem beni Sakr, pregnant for 2025
Fingers and toes crossed!
That is wonderful news. I am such a fan of Rhoufi, and what I know of the Bergman program. Any program that can produce such outstanding individuals should be celebrated!
