When art imitates life..
Above, a famous drawing by French nineteenth century artist Victor Adam. Below, the Kuhaylan Ajuz stallion Rhoufi, my pride and joy, and the lone surviving treasure of the 150 year old Tunisian asil breeding program, bred by Gisela Bergmann in 2003 and photographed in 2023 by Arnault Decroix at his farm in Normandy.
Handsome guy! And so very special. I hope he sires many offspring!
I suspect that the the fact that he spent decades as a riding horse and remained intact all the while speaks well to his temperament and durability, as well. Nice stallion, and I’m so glad you have him.
As you know, I adore him.
You made my day!
Wonderfull stallion. I saw his father Tchad several years ago in Ghardimaou.
Do you have pictures? I have frozen semen for him now, for France, but also with an EU and an international protocol that includes the USA.
No I don‘t took any pictures. He‘s a arabian from a lost world …
He really is. I am looking for similar mares to breed to him so that it is not all lost.
Magnificient stallion
