Ginger’s 2022 filly
My beautiful Ginger, now owned by Bev Davison, got a pretty, pretty filly for Bev by her stallion Ahsahm. This is Ginger’s third filly in four years. Surely this great broodmatron, now 24, has done more for the Rabanna female line than any other mare of similar lines in the last decades. Photos by the proud owner.
Excellent hindquarters, and a nice neck..

What a spicy little girl!
What a lovely filly! Ginger is truly a jewel.
I hope that one (at least) of her daughters could be bred to Bashir al-Dirri! He also traces to Basilisk in tail female, but through a completely different route.
I second that motion, Jenny!
You read my mind Jenny, with her persmission her full sister Kinza, now 3, will soon head for a breed to him. Hopefully as soon as next month.
Fantastic!
Visualizing that breeding in my head with pleasure, Jenny.
Aaah, this little filly is a bit of a “sprite” for certain…a name suggestion provided online. Watch for Ginger Sprite SDA (or could be SpiritWind Ginger Sprite – all pending) for future updates! Honestly, I call her “Ditto” because she is yet another copy of her mother! Last year’s foal from Ginger, SpiritWind Ginger Rum (stud colt) is also growing magnificently and such a sweetie (remember the wheelbarrow baby?). He is a Jabbar son, full sibling to Kinza. Looks like a fall breeding in store for her as we have had unbearable triple digit heat during recent hopeful weeks for travel.
