Jahir, 1975 asil Jilfan Dhawi stallion from France
Adrien Deblaise, a preservation breeder in western France, sent me these two photos of the splendid and very asil 1975 Jilfan Dhawi stallion Jahir (Iricho x Ciada, who was by Ghalbane x Malika, by Masbout x Themis by Bango x Akaba). The pedigree on allbreedpedigree.com is wrong, so I am not linking to it.
His sire Iricho was imported from Tunisia to France, and has close lines to the desert. His grandsire, the Hamdani Simri Ghalbane, and his great-grandsire, the Saqlawi Jadran Masbout, and his great-great-grandsire, the Ma’naqi Sbaili Bango, all came from the Syrian desert, and were among the last imports to French Algeria. So much pure, authentic, well-ascertained blood flows in his vein, so close to the original desert source.
Adrien tells me the first photo was taken at Louis Bauduin who was standing him at stud, while the second was a show contest, much earlier.
Very much like what I can see of his conformation, especially legs and joints.
he is the real deal; the asil arabian from completely desert lines.
Wow-magnificent!! Did he breed on in asil lines?
Jahir is the father of Murad Ghazi breeder Louis Bauduin and belonging to Adrien Deblaise who got this year a very very nice foal from him. Jahir is also father of my stallion Aouadj El Horr father also of very oriental production. I get a very nice foal this year with a daughter of Aouadj El Horr and Hussam Al Shamal.
Jahir has breed three time with a Breek’s Daughter, Loubia bint Breek. His son, the stallion Djoar beni Sakr, is with the last Jahir’s owner. One of his daughter, Akaba beni sakr, is on our breding and the last Tahiz beni Sakr has left us in 2004.
We have their sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters with us, and we are very proud of them
It’s good to say that a Jahir daughter will race in the French endurance junior team for the world endurance championship in Brazil next month.
Her name: Srour, little wonderfull mare (1m45)
Please share a picture of the mare Srour. We wish her best of luck in the race.
sorry Bassam but I don’t have any photos of Srour
srour is not asil, becasue of st laurent and also spanish stuff in his pedigree, says Fabienne Vesco.
Right!
One of the first Arabian stallions that made a shivering impression on me was El Afnas, a black stallion by El Aswad – ending last of his class at the 1987 European championships. Coincidently came over his pedigree http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&h=EL+AFNAS, was apparently all Tunesian on dam line. Would love to see a picture of him again too see how he would match my eye today.
