Jezabel – Die Wüstenstute: Another member of the line
Just about a year ago I wrote about the mare Jezabel , “die Wüstenstute” and her journey from Iran to Europe. Mirko Ulram graciously sent me these photos of her great-granddaughter Jasminah. She is the product of a mating between a grandson and a granddaughter of Jezabel. Mirko confirmed that the pedigree is correct. (AllBreedPedigree can sometimes be… entertaining, shall we say?) The photos are from last summer.
Oh, nice! I haven’t a clue about most of the names in her pedigree – I imagine they’re Iranian? Which would make Jasminah an Iranian-Egyptian blend?
I’d say Iranian-Egyptian sums it up nicely. Her Egyptian part through Hamdan II being PROPER Egyptian with his Tahawi dam line.
The pedigree elements probably explain her nice horse like movement.

Wonderful! The flexibility of her hind quarters is glorious. She will mature into an amazing mare.
Mirko Ulram let me know that the Jezabel great-granddaughter Bint Jellabieh and granddaughter Jalida are due any day now.
Thanks for the informative post Wilton, how do I get in touch with Mirko?
