I keep marveling at this horse, and how close to the desert bred Arabians the Hadban Enzahi stallion Wahid CW (Wahid CW x RL Zahra Assahara) looks like, 112 years after the importation of his ancestors from North Arabia to the USA. Photo by Hannah Logan
I was just reading that comment thread on the Davenport page this morning as I sipped my coffee. Very informative – hadn’t realized that I was as confused by the Davenport family groups as I was.
I think the sire is actually Tribute CF.
For anyone wondering – the link to the afore-mentioned discussion and photo source is here. c:
I’m seeing his maternal grandsire Portent as a very strong part of him. SOO glad to see those photo of him.
And I can’t help but cheer that Telemachus CF (by Odysseus by Dharanad) has a chance at a sire line here. He was such a wonderful horse, and his full sister, who died as a youngster in 1993, was just as good or better. Tribute has all the good qualities of Telemachus and the elegance and refinement of his dam, Oreana CF. What a treasure you have, Hannah.
Quel magnifique étalon, si sophistiqué et pourtant
il garde un côté primitif .
