Piotr Grzywnowicz posted these two gorgeous photos of the desert-bred stallion Kuhailan Haifi on his Facebook page. What an intelligent look in his eyes. I wish the beautiful halter has survived.

I wish so, too. Even more, I wish there was some frozen semen from him that we could use to cross with some of the Davenport mares of the Kuhaylan Haifi strain. Fun to check the mtDNA with it, as long as I’m dreaming!
Did he tell you that it didn’t survive? It wouldn’t shock me if he or someone else had it squirreled away somewhere — Piotr showed me a small section of his bit collection the other day, which was dozens of bits, some of which dated well into the 19th century.

With his tipped in ears he does look Davenportish.

I think he does, too. The ears, eyes and nostrils all speak to me.
Maybe a bit like Daedalus DL, but not as intense?
Indeed, like Daedulus DL, that magical creature..

He did not tell me anything. I meant to say I hope it has survived.
Oh, I’ll ask him, then. I’m sure he’d know.
