  1. Edouard, how about some clear conformation shots..So we can see if the Davenport Hadbas’ truly had the nicer slant to their shoulder and hips as Davenport said.

  2. Bruce, it has been more than a couple of generations since Davenport saw a Hadban. I believe it would be 106 years. And lots of people, and chance, have influenced the bloodline. What I am saying is, don’t hold today’s horses to some standard they may or may not fit. Genetics doesn’t work that way!

  3. Oh my- i was under the impression Porte Cf was or had been gelded. I was going to try and take a mare to him-i did not purchase the mare for that reason. Are AlKhamsa stallion owners not breeding mares out side their group?

  4. Jeanne M Hall, I do not believe most Al Khamsa stallion owners are opposed to breeding to mares outside their breeding group. Porte CF is definitely still a breeding stallion, owned by Ambar Diaz. I am leasing him for this breeding season to breed to several Davenport and Sharp (no Blunt bloodlines) Al Khamsa mares.

  5. Thank you for the information-i was very partial to Porte CF as he is Portia- she was a very beautiful mare. The moving finger having written-moves on…

  6. UPDATE: RL Zahra Assahara is now nearly 9 months in foal to Porte CF, due in early May 2019. The resulting foal will have 4 crosses, in a five generation pedigree, to the Davenport mare Portia.
