Winged horses in the Nasiri book

From the Nasiri book:

Al Kalbi recited that God Most High brought a hundred horses out of the sea for our Lord Solomon, and they had wings, and that they were called “goodness”. And God knows best.

  1. This is interesting in light of Zad al-Rakib’s association with the sea in the Guarmani version, as best I understand it; I think I may go re-read Guarmani’s section of the creation myths of the Arab horse, because I also have some recollection of him linking sea horses to Solomon. (I could be hopelessly garbling things here as well, of course.)
