Another view of Basil Jadaan’s stud last October

I like this image so much that I will make it a blog header for a few days. I think the beautiful mare on the left is a Kuhaylat al-Mimrah.

    Best Regards

    1. Dear Badr,

Are you a grandson of Watban?

Jauza is from Sultan al-Dawish not Watban.

Here is what Lady Anne Blunt wrote on Jauza, in her Sheykh Obeyd Herdbook:

“A chestnut mare, Kehilet el Krush, foaled in 1909. Jauza was desert bred, sire Dahman Shahwan of Sheykh Mubarak ibn Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, dam Kehilet el Krush, favorite mare of the late Sheykh Sultan el Duish. She was purchased through Ali el Abdalla el Bassam and arrived at Sheykh Obeyd August 1913.”

You can find this information in the book of Colin Pearson and Kees Mol, Arabian Horse Families of Egypt, page 144.
