Belle yesterday, after two years

Yesterday I went to see my horses for the first time since the onset of COVID-19 some two and a half years ago. Belle the Kuhaylat al-Ajuz looks good and has had two fillies in the last four years. Both fillies are an improvement over her, in terms of balance and structure. I am going to breed her at least one more time, this time to the Syrian Kuhaylan Da’jani stallion for which I now have semen thanks to Arnault Decroix.

I thought she was looking very much like her maternal grandsire Audobon and his dam Audacity in that picture.

  1. Belle looks very good. I am anxious to see a foal from her by the Syrian Kuhaylan Da’Jani stallion.

  2. She is beautiful, and I am so, so, so weak for little snip markings on grey mares.
Are you going to breed her this year, or wait til next year? Either way, how exciting!

  3. If you do indeed breed Belle to the Syrian stallion Dhjani Al Arab I believe you will be rewarded with a spectaularly desert looking offspring. JMHO. Love the idea!
