I am not sure who colorized this well-known photo of *Haleb, taken by Arthur Moore during Davenport’s trip to Arabia in 1906, but they did a good job (except perhaps for too many blue gowns). The quality of *Haleb shows well. I am reminded of his descendant Mayassah.

This is a fabulous photo!! Where can we find conformation like that today? Neck set maybe 1 or 2 degrees lower than his coupling- Good big feet- tho they could maybe use a bit more heel than they show here. Way good withers, Flawless hind legs .. Very good leg bone, and a non restricter plate slight dish to his face.. It doesn’t get much better than that.
