Five breedings this year

This is the year I have planned the most breeding since 2006. Five mares were bred or about to be bred. Of these three are going to Davenport stallions: Andre DL, Anecdote CF, and Monologue CF.

1/ CSA Baroness Lady to the Da’jani stallion from Syria (planned)

2/ Wadha Al Arab to Monologue CF (in foal)

3/ Mayassa al Arab to Anecdote CF (planned)

4/ DaughterofthePharaohs (Pippa) to Bashir Al Dirri (in foal)

plus a fifth mare I am not talking about yet.

  1. Way to go, Bashir!
Or as Rosemary & Terry Doyle call him, “The Dude.”

I’ve always admired Pippa and think this is an excellent breeding. All digits crossed!

  2. Literally all of these foals are exciting. And it’s really, REALLY cool that you’re getting into the stage of multiple generations of your breeding. Lady really really really needs to have a filly!

      1. No, a new sireline wouldn’t be bad at all.

        But.

That Ferida is in short supply since CSA Trilours & CSA Amira Kista both passed away. The Iona Ristine/Janice Park mares Jai Night Storm & Jai Wamidas Starare nowhere to be found, and I still haven’t been able to get an answer from her breeder/LKO about Song Of The Saharah.

Lady’s the last one that’s known, alive, and in a breeding home.

  3. I’m with you — after not breeding for five years, I have ADA Recapitulation going to Porte CF, and Javera Ebonydream to either Andre DL or Porte CF. Fingers crossed …
