I am excited to introduce Kate McLachlan as an occasional blogger on Daughters of the Wind. Kate is a lecturer at the University of Cape Town, in South Africa, and holds a graduate degree in Ancient Philology from Oxford University. I am really looking forward to her contributions.

Thank you very much! It is very exciting to be a part of this knowledgeable and welcoming community; a friend told me that Arab horse people are different from other horse people, in their willingness to share and welcome other people with a passion for these lovely horses, and I have to say that they have been entirely correct in my experience so far.
