Sawwan update
A very good endurance riding friend of ours is sending her mare to visit Gülilah Sawwan , the last living SE son of the German import Mahib. Assad Princess Surrayah is sired by the noted endurance sire (and all around sweetheart) Sidi el Nabiel out of the Maistro[imp] daughter Sidi Halima. She’s not exactly a spring chicken, but we’re hoping for the best.
Helping to save the Mahib[imp] line for asil breeding out of a Freiha Al-Hamra (APK) tail female mare could have been worse.
Just above high overall body balance, Strong coupling, fabulous shoulder. Very nice indeed.

It’s too bad her daughter Om-Sura Sahara passed away before she could continue the line. Fingers crossed. I wonder if the owner could be convinced to breed her to one of the Courthouse brothers after Sawwan, if this pregnancy catches.
Seeing as it’s the Courthouse brothers, I’ll keep my blatant stable blindness out of it. I’ll speak to the owner this afternoon.
We’re finally getting our breeding barn up and running and we have a very nice vet who’s willing to travel so I don’t see any problem in that department.

After many months, nine years of drought, Assad Princess Surrayah is FINALLY here.
She is skin and bones, since the locusts ate EVERY bit of grazing her owner had.
She is here now. Hips sticking out, sunken cheeks, but as BITCHY as can be!! She is the ulimate “Je suis le shit!”
Glad you have her, Wilton, and hope the move brings about some much needed fillies for this line.
