Shaykh al-Arab looking good

Rosemary pointed my attention to the black eyeliner mark around his eyes. It is a relatively rare feature in chestnut Arabian horses, and a mark of authenticity. I think DeWayne took the first two pictures. This Ma’anaqi Sbayli strain really produces quality, and the hybrid vigor from the concentrated Doyle blood helped.

  1. Regarding short neck, the photo is at a bad angle, and most foals of his age look short necked. Give him time.

  2. He looks a very personable little fellow, and I think he’s a good sort, from the first full body photo. Still a bit over at the knee in that picture, but that should straighten up as he grows into himself!
