Shoq Al-Merii, 2010 Kuhaylat al-Wati from Syria
Shoq is another one of Basil’s mares. I had written about her earlier, here. She is the only daughter of Mahboub Halep in Syria. Her breeder had seen Mahboub at Radwan’s stud in Aleppo prior to this importation to France, and bred her dam to him. She should have foaled by now.
Oh, another lovely mare! She looks much more level here than in the photo in the previous post. I hope that the foaling was successful!
I’m happy to see the syrian Mahboub’s daughter. He is a wonderful sire and we love all his offsprings at home. I hope he will be grandfather in Syria too, maybe next year in France (fingers crossed)
