Conversation with Jaryu al-Subayh, from the Harb of Tai (2005)

According to the Shaykh of Tai, the Sheykhs of Tai obtained their Rabda mares from Ahmad al-‘Aqub of the Harb clan of Tai. The Rabdan strain orignally belonged to these Harb; these Harb were originally from ‘Anazah and later became part of Tai.

Both Jaryu al-Subayh and the Sheykhs of Tai both got their Rabda mares from al-‘Aqub of Harb. The Rabdan strain came from Najd with Harb. The horses of al-Nammur also trace to the Rabdans of Jaryu al-Subayh.

Tai also has a strain of Jilfan Sattam al-Bulad and a strain of Mleihiyyat.
