Al Sabik, Kuhaylan Khallawi, Syria — mid 2000s

I had published this beautiful photo of the 1994 Syrian Kuhaylan Khallawi stallion Al Sabik (*Ta’an x Hallah) some ten years ago.

Recently Arnault Decroix shared with me another photo of the same handsome horse taken a few moments before or after the first one. This was truly a special horse.

  1. Really good bone, solid through the body, and a good length of pelvis. A pity *Ta’an didn’t get more offspring in the US.

  2. I repeat my comments regarding this horse from ten years ago, “I like this horse very much. Wonderful neck, shoulder, bone, hip. So masculine!”

I also echo Kate in wishing Ta’an had had a lasting genetic presence from his time in the U.S.
