Belisarius at one

Landrace Belisasius turns one at the end of this month. He is the son of Jamr out of Belle that went to Moira Walker in utero. He is a light bay, the color of his damline ancestor, *Nufoud. I like very much, as to me he exemplifies the permanence of the old type of Arabian horses, which is the true type.

  1. Wow!!! Just Wow!! Man could you breed some sport horses with him.. Size, substance, body type, movement all in one package.. Looks like he could have been a candidate for a chief sire at Babolna during Petko Zsandtners’ era..( sp) Plus for us cradle country arabian geeks he goes back to Kuhaylan Ajouze(sp again) He would be such an improver for those wishing to breed anglo arabian sport horses. I will have to start working on finding some line bred secratariat or roundtable mares.. They are out there but they are getting hard to find.. Most importantly he would help fix their feet. I don’t know why the jockey club won’t start registering anglo arabs if they are say 16 hands tall. To avoid the obvious shortcoming of too small size..
