A very classy young horse.
She will be quite something. Wish there was more of Bashir’s. Pity he was gelded. I am the only one who used him.
Very glad that Jenny froze semen from him. It’s just too bad. I still mourn the loss of Sharif, I liked him a lot and it really feels more poignant with the passing of the years. I’m sure you can understand that.
Karma looks so mature & elegant; a very good looking 2 y/o filly indeed! To be less eloquent, I like her shape a lot 🙂
She looks athletic yet very beautiful simultaneously. She will be a total jaw-dropper once she’s a mature mare.
Bashir being gelded is nothing short of travesty to both Al Khamsa and horses as a whole. Not only was so much of his pedigree endangered, his conformation & movement were among some of the best I’ve *ever* seen in Arabians (and I’ve met quite a few horses; have seen even more in photos and or videos). I’ve heard good things about his personality as well.
It is good he has frozen semen but it still feels like a massive loss in my opinion. I am glad you had bred Karma beforehand. Fingers crossed on future Bashir babies thanks to Jenny Krieg’s preservation diligence
I agree with you Laura and I too think that we in the preservation community will be hearing a lot about this filly in the coming years. She is a credit to both parents.
Oh yes!! I most certainly agree 😀
I focused on my sadness at Bashir being gelded & thus number of his offspring be limited with my first comment; but, this beautiful filly must be celebrated as a daughter of both her parents.
Kinza is a stunning young mare and a testament to Ginger + Jabbar.
Karma & her mother are a testament to the old and new programs that produced such an athletic but beautiful mares into the world. They are especially a testament to the Saqlawi Marighi horses which I’m a big fan of (especially the Blunt & closely Blunt bred horses).
I look forward to what both she & her mother produce as the years go on.
